DREAM CHOSEN AS FEATURED JANUARY BOOK FOR READ ON WISCONSIN!

For Immediate Release

Contact: Brian Puppa, e-mail or call (905) 640-8914

SEPTEMBER 7, 2010 / Legacy Project / – First Lady of Wisconsin Jessica Doyle has chosen Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom & Wishes by Susan V. Bosak as her feature book for January, 2011. Mrs. Doyle heads the statewide Read On Wisconsin! book club for students and teachers. The program is in its seventh year and is designed to encourage literacy and a love of reading at all grade levels.

Books are selected with the help of an advisory committee comprised of teachers, librarians, and students from across Wisconsin. The book list is posted on the book club website and books are distributed to schools, groups, and communities across Wisconsin.

The Read On Wisconsin! website offers students and teachers a variety of ways to enjoy and learn more about the featured books. Students can submit reviews or discuss the books through an online web log. Teachers can review lesson plans and post comments about the books through the Teacher Resource page.

Mrs. Doyle travels across the state visiting schools and leading local reading events. Read On Wisconsin! also donates selected titles to students in need. Author and Legacy Project Chair Susan V. Bosak will visit Wisconsin in January as part of a special event.

Dream is illustrated by 15 top children's illustrators and has won 11 national awards, including a Children's Choice and a Teachers' Choice. The book is about hopes and dreams across a lifetime.
