MY DREAM

A simple way for students to share their dreams and goals

Dreams are about goals – and more. They give us purpose and direction, shape our lives and the choices we make, make us happy and give us a sense of accomplishment, and help us express who we are and what's important to us. They can also make the world a better place.

In the book Dream, a Dreamer is someone who can see beyond "what is" to "what can be." A Dreamer not only makes a wish, but makes a promise to themselves to work hard to make that wish a reality. A Dreamer always gives something their best try, and takes a positive approach to everything they do.

At the beginning or end of the school year read Dream, and then use the My Dream sheet to encourage students to identify and articulate their dreams and goals. You can leave it general or specify a goal for this or next school year, a career goal, or something students would like to do to make the world a better place.

Post and share the dreams to inspire the entire class.
